Idaho Exempts Residential Mortgage Lenders from Idaho Credit Code Licensing Requirements

Idaho passed a bill exempting residential mortgage lenders from the licensing requirements of the Idaho Credit Code. Under the new law, a mortgage lender licensed under the Residential Mortgage Practices Act is no longer required to obtain a license under the Idaho Credit Code when making subordinate lien mortgage loans. The bill becomes effective July 1, 2008.
