New Jersey passed a bill amending the content of the “notice of intention to foreclose” (Notice). Pursuant to the bill, a lender or servicer must include in the Notice a statement that the lender or servicer is either licensed in accordance with the New Jersey Residential Mortgage Lending Act (RMLA), or exempt from licensure under the RMLA. The bill went into effect April 29, 2019.
