Fannie Mae Issues Non-Objection to Republic Mortgage Insurance Company Merger into United Guaranty Residential Insurance Company

Fannie Mae issued a Servicing Notice (Notice) issuing a non-objection to the merger of Republic Mortgage Insurance Company and Republic Mortgage Guaranty Insurance Corporation, formerly Republic Mortgage Insurance Company of North Carolina, (together RMIC) into United Guaranty Residential Insurance Company (UGI). UGI is a Fannie Mae-approved mortgage insurer, affiliate of Arch Mortgage Insurance Company (another Fannie Mae-approved mortgage insurer), and a direct subsidiary of Arch U.S. MI Holdings, Inc., which is asubsidiary of Arch Capital Group Ltd.

Effective June 1, 2025, all insurance policy servicing activities in connection with RMIC-insured loans (e.g., premium renewals, policy cancellations, notices of default, workouts, and claims processing) are administered by UGI.
