FHA Eliminates Full-Time Employment Requirement for Direct Endorsement (DE) Underwriter Eligibility

FHA issued Mortgagee Letter 2025-16 eliminating the full-time employment requirement for Direct Endorsement (DE) underwriter eligibility. Per the Mortgagee Letter (ML), FHA eliminated the full-time employment requirement for underwriter eligibility to allow part-time employment. The provisions of this ML went into effect June 27, 2025.
