FHA Waives “Important Notice to Homebuyers” Policy

FHA is waiving its policy requiring mortgagees to provide borrowers with Form HUD-92900-B, (Important Notice to Homebuyers). The waiving of this policy removes the following specific requirements regarding Form HUD-92900-B:

  • Providing a copy of Form HUD-92900-B (Important Notice to Homebuyers) to the borrower when a mortgage application is received;
  • Obtaining the borrower’s signature on Form HUD-92900-B (Important Notice to Homebuyers); and
  • Retaining the executed Form HUD-92900-B (Important Notice to Homebuyers) in the FHA case binder.

The waiving of this policy is effective for cases not yet endorsed as of November 19, 2025.
