RHS issued a SFH Guaranteed Servicing Notice (Notice) announcing revisions to chapters 17, 18, and 19 of the SFH Guaranteed Loan Program Technical Handbook (HB-1-3555). The revisions to chapter 17 remove references to recapture of shared equity and include information for servicer responsibilities on loan status with errors and assumption submission and closing guidance. The revisions to chapter 18 update requirements for servicing non-performing loans, remove Attachment’s 18-B through 18-E,, add a link to notate that the attachments can be found on the USDA LINC library website, and make changes to correspond with the publishing of the requirements for the Special Servicing Options Final Rule. The revisions to chapter 19 update servicing requirements for collecting on the guarantee when loss claims occur and the Agency review process. The revisions went into effect April 14, 2025.
