RHS issued a SFH Guaranteed Servicing Notice (Notice) announcing updated Electronic Status Reporting codes for mortgage servicers. Per the Notice:
- Default Status Codes 36 (RD-SLS Stand Alone Mortgage Recovery Advance) and 41 (RD-SLS Modification w/ Mortgage Recovery Advance) were updated to remove the “RD-SLS” verbiage;
- Default Status Code 39 (RD-SLS Trial Payment Plan) was deactivated (Default Status Code 08 “Trial Payment Plan” should be utilized); and
- Default Status Reason Code 034 (Forgot to Pay) was added and should be utilized when the delinquency is attributed to the borrower forgetting to make a mortgage payment.
The updates to Default Status Code 36 and 41, and the addition of Default Status Reason Code 034 will be available beginning with the June 2025 reporting cycle.
