VA Discontinues Reporting Requirement for Servicing Transfer (Transferring Servicer) Event Related to Veterans Affairs Servicing Purchase Loan Transfers

VA issued a Servicer Newsflash discontinuing a reporting requirement for a servicing transfer (transferring servicer) event related to Veterans Affairs Servicing Purchase (VASP) loan transfers. Per the Newsflash, Chapter 9 of the VA Servicer Handbook (M26-4) instructs servicers to report the Servicing Transfer (Transferring Servicer) event in the VALERI application to indicate a successful transfer of the VASP loan to VA’s contractor. Effective immediately, servicers are to discontinue reporting this event for VASP loan transfers. Servicers are to only report the Servicing Transfer (Transferring Servicer) event in the VALERI application for standard servicing transfers, unrelated to the VASP program. This went into effect April 30, 2025.
