RHS issued a SFH Guaranteed Origination Notice (Notice) announcing revisions to chapters 2, 6, 12, and 13 and Appendices 2, 3, and 7 of the SFH Guaranteed Loan Program Technical Handbook (HB-1-3555). Chapter 2 pertains to record retention, chapter 6 pertains to loan purposes, chapter 12 pertains to property and appraisal requirements, chapter 13 pertains to special property types, appendix 2 pertains to forms and instructions, appendix 3 pertains to review and appeals, and appendix 7 pertains to Credit Alert Verification Reporting System (CAIVRS) access instruction. The chapters and appendices were revised to implement the changes adopted in the recent manufactured housing provisions final rule. The revisions to chapters 2, 6, 12, and 13 and appendices 2, 3, and 7 are effective May 5, 2025 (in conjunction with the final rule).
