Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, and FHA Issue Temporary Guidance on Federal Government Shutdown

Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, and FHA issued Bulletin 2025-E (Bulletin), Lender Letter LL 2025-03, and FHA Info #2025-49 (respectively) issuing temporary guidance related to the federal government shutdown. Per the Bulletin, Lender Letter, and FHA Info, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, and FHA provided temporary guidance on selling and servicing policies that may be impacted by the federal government shutdown that began October 1, 2025. These temporary policies are effective immediately upon the government shutdown and will automatically expire when the federal government resumes full operations.
