Connecticut Amends Nondepository Mortgage Lenders and Brokers Act

Connecticut passed a bill amending the Nondepository Mortgage Lenders and Brokers Act. Under the bill, a revision was made to the “dual payment disclosure” (disclosure) which is required to be provided to the borrower if a mortgage broker receives compensation for acting as both a real estate broker or agent and a mortgage broker. Connecticut has mandated the exact language to be used in this disclosure. The revised disclosure becomes effective January 1, 2027.
