Indiana passed a bill repealing and recodifying the First Lien Mortgage Lending Act (FLMLA), Uniform Consumer Credit Code (UCCC) and the Indiana Home Loan Practices Act (IHLPA). Under the bill, Indiana repealed statutes under “Title 24-Trade Regulation” (Articles 4.4, 4.5, and 9) and recodified the statutes in a new title “Title 37-Consumer Lending” (Articles 1, 2, and 5) of the Indiana Code. The bill went into effect July 1, 2026.
