Utah Amends Residential Mortgage Practices and Licensing Act

Utah adopted rules amending the Residential Mortgage Practices Act. Under the adopted rules, the number of hours of Utah specific pre-licensing education a mortgage loan originator is required to take was reduced from 15 hours to 5 hours. The rule went into effect March 24, 2026.
