West Virginia passed a bill amending the Residential Mortgage Lender, Broker and Servicer Act (RMLBSA). The bill amended requirements under the RMLBSA with respect to ability to repay (related to exempt entities) and recordkeeping (related to records that must be maintained, form and location of records, and advertising). The bill becomes effective May 1, 2026.
