Indiana passed a bill modifying timing requirements with respect to the notification of a data breach. Under the bill, persons that own or license computerized data that includes personal information must notify affected Indiana residents of a data breach no later than 45 days after discovering the data breach. The bill becomes effective July 1, 2022.
